More than 35 million people a year Las Vegas visit. Most spend their time on the Strip, which is full of entertainment. But if you need a break from all this, consider a Grand Canyon helicopter tour.
It is a little known fact that Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the of the world, is a mere 120 km from the western edge of the National Park. This distance is not for a helicopter, which can cover in 45 minutes at a speed of over 200 MPH!
Air Tours
Air travel are your most fundamental choice. Total tour time is three hours, and you will see the following text:
Hoover DamLake MeadGuano PointEagle PointGrand Canyon SkywalkThese trips really appeal to people on a tight budget or a tight schedule (form hotel pick up to drop off, you're looking at a total of only 3 hours!) and want a good "sampler canyon."
Landing Tours
But if you really want to go there, I strongly recommend that you choose a plane that lands at the top or at the bottom of the rim. Landings albums come in many shapes and sizes, the most popular being the one that includes the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
Nicknamed the bridge of glass, the Skywalk is a marvel of modern engineering. To begin with, it is the largest glass cantilever bridge in the world. Just as impressive is the fact that each of its glass panels 40 + cost of $250,000 to make!
Besides being an impressive attraction, the Skywalk allows you to do crazy enough as things:
70 Market on the edge of the wall of the canyon;Stand near 4,000 feet above the bottom.Landing on the bottom is the other incredible Tower here on the edge of the West, which is the only place in the whole of the National Park where you're allowed to fly below the rim and land at the base. If you ask me, it is pretty darn unique.
What to do when you get down? Enjoy a Champagne Picnic, of course. According to my experience, it is the Las Vegas #1 helicopter ride. In a way, I'm not surprised: the descent of 15 minutes is absolutely breathtaking. But for those who want more, do not hesitate to extend this adventure by adding a Colorado River boat in the mixture. Indeed, there is nothing more beautiful than floating down the waterway and to get a first hand look at the gigantic walls of the canyon.
RSVP
Helicopter Canyon tours are extremely popular. This is why I always recommend booking at least one week in advance. Following this line of conduct means you will get flight time more from which to choose - and important advantage because the morning of my estimate flights are the best. How do I? Because that's when you get the best visibility and air more smooth.
I want to conclude this article by saying that the best prices are clearly on the Internet. But, as they say, "all that glitters is not gold." In other words, move you to the "big box" travel sites such as Expedia and Priceline. Instead, book direct with the suppliers of the tour behind the scene. This and you will be a happy traveler.
