What to Look for When Choosing an Ultralight Summer Sleeping Bag?

Summer is a great time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Backpacking during the summer months usually means that you don't have to carry a heavy load of gear on your back, since you don't need a lot of cold weather gear. When it comes to finding a summer sleeping bag, there are a few important factors to weigh. This is especially true if you are a minimalist or ultralight backpacker.

The first thing you need to keep in mind is the temperature rating of the sleeping bag. Sleeping bags are rated to a certain temperature, which is the average 'comfort' temperature between a minimum and maximum range. Most summer backpacking trips will be fine with a rating of 40 degrees of above, and most summer sleeping bags fall in the 40-55 range. This obviously depends on where yo will be backpacking, so if the nights get colder than 40-55 degrees, pack a warmer bag.

The temperature rating will determine the amount of insulation inside the sleeping bag. This will affect the total weight, since more insulation will mean a heavier sleeping bag. Weight is an important consideration, especially if you are trying to achieve ultralight backpacking status (less than 10 pounds). Finding a sleeping bag that is close to 1 pound is ideal for that scenario.

The type of insulation is also an important consideration. Down sleeping bags will allow you to get down in the 1-2 pound range at this temperature rating, and some synthetic insulation sleeping bags will get close as well. The fill power of the down will give you an idea of its overall warmth to weight ratio, with a higher number giving you a higher ratio. Remember that down loses it's insulative properties when it gets wet, so if you plan on backpacking in a wet climate, either make sure you have waterproof protection or go with a synthetic sleeping bag (they retain their insulative properties when wet).

Cost is also an important consideration. Down bags will usually cost more than their synthetic counterparts, and this is especially true with the high fill power down sleeping bags (600-850).

Hopefully this guide will help you get started in finding a perfect summer lightweight sleeping bag to fit your needs. Happy trails!

Follow Safety Guidelines to Stay Safe Inside an animal Park

When you are inside the Jim Corbett National Park to spend your holidays, it is a wonderful feeling to experience this right inside the natural habitat of animals. This is a fantastic place for natural lovers as it has a long list of animals, birds and proper facilities to spend your days. There are many Jim Corbett resorts that provide excellent facilities.

When you are visiting this place you have many things to do like visiting the river, Corbett Falls, Corbett Safari and many more.

Kosi River: the water of Kosi is clean and pure and it is magical to take a bath in this river. They also organize a Kosi elephant ride which revolves around the river, generally it takes two hours to complete, and you can view exotic birds, deer and many others animal from the top of an elephant. The advantage of an elephant ride is that an elephant can take you to the places where Jeep can't. And if you feel like clicking animals this will be the perfect position for you to capture the rare and uncommon photos. But before that don't forget to submit the required amount which the authorities of the national park charge you for taking the camera inside. There is also an old temple near the Kosi River and if you wish to swim stay away from the deeper part of the river.

Resort in Corbett National park offers you many facilities and the jungle safari on back of an elephant is the one. I would like to draw your attention towards an incident which could be worse. There was a family who took two elephants for a ride, they were enjoying and clicking the pictures. Kids were very happy and they were making noises out of excitement, soon they spotted a cub moving towards them. Actually that cub was escaping from some unseen predator. The family thought that this is coming towards them as a friendly gesture. They become more exited and at once the lioness came in front of the elephant and attacked the elephant. Elephant is also a wild animal become uncontrollable for the Mahavat (elephant Handler). The family was frightened as the lioness was jumping towards the family members and was coming at the height of the elephant. The Mahavat was an experienced man and drove away the elephant from there. They were saved and for a few hours they were unable to speak and took more time to come out of that frightening situation, which frightened them deep inside.

Corbett National Park resort also offers 24 hour laundry service, mouth watering delicacies and a wonderful hospitality.

How to Select Best Garrett Metal Detector

If you are seeking to buy a metal detector you must know that the best metal detectors in the industry are the Garrett detectors. This information comes directly from the experts who know what is what in the world of metal detection equipment. If you are new to the world of using metal detectors it can be a little confusing to know which of the many devices available would best suit your needs. All of the metal detectors made by Garrett are of exceptional quality so you will need to focus on what your personal needs are to guide you in making the choice.

Here is how to choose the best from the current range of Garrett detectors in the market.

How often do you intend to use the device?

There are different specifications for Garrett detectors from those that are meant to be used by enthusiasts to those for professionals. The trick is knowing which of these categories you fall into. If you intend to take this activity up professionally or spend a lot of time doing it, you need high performance Garrett detectors such as the Garrett Infinitum. This device has a lot of inbuilt features that will help you accomplish what you need.

How far into the ground would you want to be able to detect?

Garrett detectors are able to provide you with devices that can detect gold deposits at varying depths of the ground. The question you must ask yourself is how serious metal detection activities are for you. For a simple enthusiast being able to see up to a foot is more than enough. The reason for this is because there are two types of Garret metal detectors. The first kind is high frequency VLF circuits which are extremely sensitive. These devices are better for shallow depths as they tend to be too sensitive to many minerals that are in the soil. They work effectively up to a foot under the ground. The second type is low frequency Pulse induction circuits. These are not as sensitive as they tend to focus on large gold deposits at greater depth. This can detect gold at greater depths than a foot.

Where will you be using the metal detectors?

This is a very important question to ask as it determines the kind of detectors you should consider buying. The best Garret detectors can be used in a wide range of terrains and surface types as they have multiple modes of detection for the user to deploy. If you intend to use the metal detector in one particular area such as a beach where there might be coins and other such items, you can seek a special purpose metal detector for that particular area.

Automated or manual ground balance feature?

Ground balance is a useful feature meant to ensure that the metal detector is not confused by the general mineralization of an area. Manual settings are easy to learn to use but for anyone not so inclined there are Garrett metal detectors with automatic ground balance feature.

Judy Buss is a proud owners of Goanna Gold Detectors since 2007 & are dedicated to providing locals & interstate enthusiasts with the best gold detectors , garrett metal detectors at the fairest pricing possible.

What to Buy for Your Son as a Wedding Gift?

Thankfully, it's the parents of the bride who are supposed to pay for a wedding, but just because your financial support isn't needed when your son gets married, shouldn't mean you can't splash your cash in other ways!

Your son is important to you and therefore you'll want to pass him onto the lucky lady he's marrying with a special parting gift. Nothing too fancy like a new car (unless you have those kind of funds - in that case, go right ahead!) but something along the lines of...

1) A typical male experience

Take into account what makes your son tick and base your gift around it. If he's a lover of football, buy him a season ticket to his favorite team, or if you don't have enough for that then a ticket to a bigger match should do nicely! Maybe cars are his driving force and if so, you can purchase special days out where the receiver gets to drive a real racing car on a proper training track. Other gifts such as army experiences, paintball weekends and alcohol tasting trips are also great and fun ideas.

2) The best stag do ever

If you've decided to pay for your son's stag, take into account what he likes when coming up with stag ideas. Does he prefer to go out drinking or is he better off spending time outside getting in touch with nature in the manliest way possible - by climbing, rowing and biking around muddy hills and rough terrains. Coming up with the best stag ideas shouldn't be too difficult if you just keep in mind what he does with his spare time and maybe ask his bride to be what she thinks is the best solution. Don't forget, a stag is for the groomsmen too so make sure you ask them their opinions before making any final plans.

3) The Honeymoon

If you aren't putting money towards the wedding day but feel you should have some input into your son and daughter-in-law's marriage, perhaps taking over the fees for the honeymoon is a solid plan. Don't go ahead and just book anywhere without asking the happy couple where they are hoping to go first - you don't want to send them on a skiing trip when they'd rather be sunbathing on a beach in Turkey! Find out where they'd like to go and try to arrange for the very best honeymoon your budget will provide. Shop around for online deals before stepping into a travel agency, money is often discounted for online booking! You may decide that letting your son book his own honeymoon is the best plan and your only input is providing the financial side of things. Whatever you decide, a honeymoon is always a present that goes down well.

So there you have it, three perfectly good options for what to buy your son as a wedding gift. Tip to fathers: taking your son to a strip club is not suggested!

Multifunctional Tent

Tent is a common but useful item. It is made of canvas, can be moved at any time, and is convenient to carry. It is widely used in different ways. If you want to camp, hike, climb or travel, the necessary equipment is tent.

It is bracing to keep out wind, rain and sunlight, and provides temporary housing shed, can be divided into a few categories: advertising tents, base house tents, herringbone large tents, travel tents, relief tents and inflatable tents.

Tentage that can be used to exhibit and promote products outside are called advertising tent. We can see it in the street usually. Base house tents are used in army. They are strong and durable, adapt to all kinds of terrains. So they are also used as construction tents. Herringbone large tentage are mainly used in outdoor large activities. In fact, they are also equipped with other comprehensive facilities to beautify and perfect a variety of theme activities. It has a complete supporting system, provides specific and comprehensive solutions according to different nature and styles of activities.

Travel tentage can be classified into two types: 3 season and 4 season, exchangeable and automatic. The first type with good ventilation is lighter, used in spring, summer and autumn, can prevent wind and rain effectively, but is difficult to deal with too much snow. 4 seasons can be used in winter and High Mountain. They are stronger to prevent thicker snow. Exchangeable tentage can adjust 4 season tents to 3 season tents. Nowadays, automatics are popular because they are convenient, no limit and trendy. The folding is a major characteristic of automatic tent. It is easy and convenient to open and fold quickly. High quality tent has high elasticity and suppleness. Relief tentage can be used to provide places to live for people and store articles in disaster areas. Relatively speaking, inflatable tents are very convenient to build. They have incomparable advantage such as small volume, light weight, portable.

The storage of tentage is very important. Improper storage way can reduce the work life of a tent. After using, you should clean dust and attachment in time, wipe the water off on both sides of fabric, stay dry completely before folding. In order to extend the service life, you should keep it appropriately.

Different functions meet different requirements of people. I have used two tents to camp and hike. With the help of them, I have enjoyed good times. Now I am planning to travel in the holiday. For more outdoor equipments, plese visit http://www.luckyoutdoor.com.

I like outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, riding . According to my outdoor experiences, comfortable tents are really important for outdoor sports lovers.

Compass - Your Outdoor Direction

As one of the four great inventions of china, compass not only has possessed great promoting function for the politics, economy and the development of culture in ancient china. After being spread to the west by various ways, it has also had a great effect on the history of world civilization. In modern society, compass plays an important role in cross-country orienteering.

Compass always reminds me of my cross-country orienteering teammates and the days we have spent together. The most memorable day must be the day of my first orienteering on a mountain. It rained heavily the day before the game. Therefore, the mountain roads were muddy and slippery. It was the day shortly after I had joined in the team. I could not use the compass and the map location identification was quite poor. In the single player race, I ran to find the order point mere with my poor location identification. Back and forth as I ran and found the wrong points again and again, still could not find the thirteenth point out. I knew that I must have taken the wrong information. My shoes were wet and tore, so did my trousers and clothes. Finally, I had to give it up.

When the race was over, not surprisingly, I was the final one. And I was the only one who had not finished the game. It made me feel frustrated. My teammate asked me what had cost me so much time. When the reason was being told, he almost screamed at me:"why not used the compass to find whether your direction is right or not"? No why, I just didn't know how to use it. This race had afforded me a useful lesson and after that, I practiced used compass in every orienteering that I took part in. If you are an orienteering enthusiast, the compass will be an essential teammate.

Before using the compass, you should match the map with your actual location. It can help you to detect your location and your destination. What you need to do is finding out one or two symbolic targets to help you realize the correct position. Besides, the apparatus should not be located near the magnetic material so as to avoid the loss of magnetism. For keeping the appearance of the compass clean, please don't wipe it with your hand or dirty cloth.

It is widely used not merely in orienteering, also in other outdoor sports items like hiking and mountain climbing. You can visit http://www.luckyoutdoor.com/camping-equipment.html for more hiking and camping equipments.

Using An LED For A Quick Walk To The Store

We only have one planet. As you've doubtless heard a hundred times in recent years, every time we turn on our vehicles, we are only adding to the environmental damage. Unless you happen to own one of those nifty hybrids or fully electric cars, your vehicle is adding to the problem. When it comes to heading to the nearby store to grab a couple of essentials after dark, you have two options: you can drive, or you can walk.

Walking to that nearby store does more for you than simply saving the planet. It counts as exercise, something you probably don't get enough of. But when it's already dark, that short walk can seem a lot more intimidating. When you have an LED hat to help light your way, you will soon find that the walk to the local store isn't as scary as you once thought.

If you're like most people, then you probably have a running hat laying around your home somewhere. If it's just a normal running hat, you will need to hunt through your home, find a flashlight, and probably find replacement batteries for it, all before you set out on your walk. At this rate, it would have been easier to just drive there. But you want the exercise, and it honestly isn't that far, so taking your car feels like a waste.

Why not invest in a running hat that serves more than one purpose? If you can get your hands on an LED hat that's designed for running, these late night walks to the 24-hour gas station at the end of the block won't seem like nearly this much trouble. All you have to do is grab your hat, slide it on, and power up the built-in LEDs to create a flashlight-free illuminated environment.

By using such an LED hat on your way to the store, you know that your hands will be free to carry your purchases back with you. Whether you're only heading in for a quick drink, or you plan to do a little grocery shopping while you're there, having your hands free of those bothersome flashlights can save you a lot of time.

When you get to the store, you can flip the lights on your running hat off with the touch of a button. Because your lights are actually built into the construction of your hat, you will be able to shop without shoving the flashlight into a pocket. We all know how suspicious a full pocket looks while you're in the store.

Avoid the hard glares from the shop keeper, and forget needing to remember to pick your flashlight up again after you make your purchase. With a trustworthy LED hat on your head, you can even light your way home when both hands are buried down with your purchases. You'll never need to worry about carrying a flashlight again when you get a running hat with built in lights.

John is an outdoor type of person, He is an explorer by nature. The running hat helps him to light up his way at night.

Keep Few Days Extra For The Excursions At Corbett National Park Tour

A visit to the Corbett National park is only a two day affair, provided you are not planning to go for excursions, which are, if not more, as exciting and enchanting as the jeep safari in the Corbett National park.

There are so many other places to be seen around the Corbett National park that one is tempted to increase the stay duration at resorts by another two days at least. Hence, if you're planning a four-five days trip to Corbett, here are the places you definitely need to visit.

The Sitabani Ashram: It is believed that this is the place where Sita stayed during her exile and raised her sons Luv and Kush. It is located at a very scenic spot and is definitely a contrast to one's luxurious resort. The Sitabani temple has a white stone statue of Sita without Rama, holding her sons. The Corbett Museum: Located around 32 kms from Ramnagar, on Nainital road, the museum has things associated with the man, Jim Corbett himself. This place is known as Kaladungi. En-route to Kaladungi are Corbett Falls, which is an excellent picnic spot. The Garjia Temple: On way to Dhikala, about 3 kms from the Corbett wilds, there's a huge rock emerging out of the river Kosi and on top is situated the Garjia Devi temple. A place for worshipping, it also gives one a mesmerizing view of river Kosi. A large fair is also held here on Kartik Poornima.Tumaria Dam: It's around forty-five minutes drive from national park. The trip will prove educational for children as well as adults as there are a lot of migratory birds that flock to this place.Nainital, Ranikhet and Almora: Nainital is roughly 65 kms from national park and therefore takes around one hour and 15 minutes to reach there from Corbett. Hence, can be easily managed. It's a hill station with the beautiful Naini lake. Ranikhet is roughly 120 kms and Almora is 125 kms from Corbett. Both Almora and Ranikhet boast of the picturesque and breathtaking views of the snow covered Himalayas.

A visit to the National park doesn't have to be limited to the jungle safari but a lot many places are equally worth visiting, which are only a few hours away from Corbett. One can make one's chosen resort in Corbett national park as a hub and visit all the above places. Hence, the longer the duration of your trip to national park, the better it is.

Top Places to Spot The Tiger in India

There are a lot of parks to see ample wildlife in India, but some parks definitely have an edge over the others, as far as tiger sighting is concerned. Here are the top few national parks in India where the chances of spotting the big cat are higher, but then, at the same time one should remember that the animal is quite elusive.

Corbett National park: This was established by the legendary hunter, Jim Corbett in 1936 and was the first national park to be established in India. The park covers a huge area and is divided into five zones. It has a large population of animals as well as birds and about 20 tigers per hundred square kilometer of the reserve. Corbett resorts are quite luxurious and accommodation can be comfortably booked online. Safaris can be arranged directly through the staff/ travel desk at the resorts in Corbett.Kanha National park: Kanha, in Madhya Pradesh is home to a lot of endangered species, including the tiger. The park is located 160 kms south east of Jabalpur. The tiger sightings are most popular in the premium Kanha core zone.Bandhavgarh National park: Bandhavgarh, also in Madhaya Pradesh, is famous for its landscape and its high concentration of tigers. The park has dense green valleys and rocky hills and a large array of wildlife including sloth bears, leopards, jackals and deers.Ranthambore National park: Inside the park is a 10th century fort, therefore the park is a blend of history and nature. It has a dense range of flora and fauna, including the tiger. It is situated between the Vindhya plateau and the Aravalli hills in the state of Rajasthan, 450 kms south west of Delhi.Sunderbans National park: It's a fascinating mangrove jungle which is the only one of its kind in the world. The park has three wildlife sanctuaries which are full of reptiles, birds and other animals like monkeys, wild boar and deer. It's a tiger reserve but the sightings of a tiger are rare as they remain hidden in the reserve. The park is located in the state of west Bengal, 130 kms south east of Kolkata.

Though the entire above mentioned are famous tiger reserves, but the chances of sighting a tiger are definitely high in Corbett. Another advantage of going to Corbett is that there are a lot of luxurious resorts in Corbett and therefore, even if the tiger is not sighted, the stay itself is quite enjoyable.

Tips For Camping Gear Shopping and Selection

For outdoor camping lovers, shopping for camping gear is truly a big deal. After all, it's not just about getting the right equipment. It's all about getting the most up-to-date items available at the right prices. Campers compare notes all the time, and there is some sort of "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality that plays a big role here. Therefore, if you are using the most obsolete camping gear (the ones your grandparents used), it's not as enjoyable as using a brand new backpack that just came out in the market last month.

Contrary to what many people are thinking, shopping for camping bags, tents and footwear is not just about looking for durability and quality. It's also about bragging rights. Outdoor enthusiasts take pride in their equipment, and they spend hundreds of dollars on their equipment purchases so that they can talk about it with their friends. This is a good thing, because by being truly enthusiastic about camping products, the industry thrives and the people in the outdoor activity market constantly have something to look forward to.

However, just because a product is popular doesn't mean that you should be blinded into purchasing it right away. After you've zeroed in on a really good looking product with lots of social proof that's new to the market, look at its features and specs. Then ask yourself, is this product able to meet my standards of quality? Will it be sufficient for my next camping trip and will it be able to get the job done?

To help you with your purchasing decisions, try to make a list of what you will need on your next outdoor trip. Will you be needing a large tent, or just for three people? Will you need a new backpack, or will your old one be enough to get the job done? These are just some of the questions that you should be asking.

The next step is to go out there in the marketplace (be it in a physical shopping store, or in an online shopping gateway). Try to compare prices of different brands that offer the same level of quality. Your goal here is buy quality at the most affordable price possible.

Lastly, know the difference between the things you need versus the things you want. Of course, it's not bad to have a couple or so things in your baggage that you want. However, too many unneeded baggage will bulk up your travel and you won't be able to move around as much as you want to. In outdoor trips, the heavier the luggage, the heavier the liability, so make sure you always travel as light as possible. Before buying a new piece of camping gear to bring on your trip, decide whether it is just a mere luxury, or an indispensible piece of equipment that you can't survive without.

Follow Safety Guidelines to Stay Safe Inside an animal Park

Activity Holidays And More In Maui, Hawaii

Maui, Hawaii is well heard of to most travelers, and brings images of surfing and beaches in abundance. These far lying Pacific isles are set in the heart of nature, enticing all types of walking enthusiast to experience activity holidays that are truly amazing.

Activity holidays are a great way to see any new location and experience what the local area has to offer. Being on foot let's you experience the smells and excitement of being right in the thick of it, sometimes in cars and on bikes you can easily miss some of the most exciting attractions on offer.

Maui is right next door to Hawaii's Big Island or Main Island as sometimes known. Big Island itself boasts some amazing walks and scenery but Maui, slightly less built up caters for all types, gentle and demanding.

1) The first spot to visit on Maui is Haleakala, a dormant volcano set in the National Park, if you get the chance it's well worth doing at sunrise as the huge orange sun creates a charming glow that leaves you speechless. Haleakala is a test of any hiking enthusiast, but there are an abundance of tour operators conducting trips to see the volcano if you fancy the more relaxed approach.

When you arrive on the island you will quickly see flyers and adverts for the Haleakala Tour.

2) Your next coastal hike should be the Blue Pools, a gentle walk that takes you of the main road and into lush waterfalls and woods. It would probably be a good idea to bring proper hiking shoes, backpacks and drinks as the area is hot and humid during the daytime. Hiking towards Blue Pools takes you off the Ula'ino Road, on terrain mostly paved, which is suitable for hire cars. Once there, it's just a short walk to reach the pools and now very popular you can expect to see a trail of tourists heading your way. In recent years the locals in Maui, frustrated by the number of walkers to the area have stopped cars and refused them to pass, while others welcome you, allowing you to use their gardens as car parks and sell refreshments. It's fifty-fifty what type of response you will have, but well worth the visit. If you do make it through the car park saga, then head to the lower part of the road and you will often pay half the price of the top fields. Walk towards the shore down the cobbled street and turn left for about 150 yards and you will find the grotto of the pool surrounded by tropical plants.

3) Activity around Hana is the best way to find shops and beaches normally passed by car. The road to Hana is a sight in its own right, passing tropical plantation and spectacular sea views. However, once in Hana your walking holiday will be more traditional as the vast amount of tourists who visit the location. Hana Bay is one of the most popular places for swimmers as the bay is protected, and boasts sandy beaches and grass areas for picnics and tables. The views from this area are spectacular and almost like a postcard setting, a must see for walkers with cameras. Away from the beaches, the town offers architecture and buildings full of history. The Wananalua Church, boasts huge square features set in amazing grass gardens. Across from the Church the original Hasegawa's Stores, selling everything from food to supplies was subject to fire in 1990 but now located in a former theater.

Another place to explore by walking is the Waikamoi Nature Trail, along the Hana Highway. This one mile track starts in a picnic ground setting, perfect to fuel up before hand, and leads through twisting pathways. Not a viewers paradise but well worth the trek for the abundance of lush hala trees and bamboos, almost so thick you can't see much else. You also pass along the pathway eucalyptus trees, who's bark comes away similar to soft tissue paper. The trail finishes in a large grass clearing, perfect for a stop before your return. Be aware that you are in the middle of mass vegetation and for that reason insects will be aware you are there, so cover up and apply the mosquito repellant.

Guide to Cuckoo Adventure Cycling Trail

The name Cuckoo dates back to when the first cuckoo of the year was released from a cage every spring at Heathfield Fair. The trail offers safety from cars and traffic and is suitable for cycling and walking.

The adventure cycling begins at Eastbourne seafront next to the Sovereign Leisure Centre and finishes at Heathfield, covering a distance of 16 miles. The cycling difficulty is easy, as all paths are flat, gravel and wide, making it easy for other bikes to pass. You will find a gentle climb from Polegate to Heathfield, only around 120 meters, but remember what goes up must come down, so you can relax on the way back down.

The Trail largely follows the route of a disused railway line, the Cuckoo Line, which opened in 1880 and ran between Eridge and Polegate railway stations, creating a direct route between Eastbourne and London. It obtained its name from the tradition that the first cuckoo in spring was heard at the Heathfield Fair. The line closed in 1968 under the programme of closures put forward by Forest Row resident and British Transport Commission Chairman Richard Beeching.

Starting at Eastbourne seafront near the Sovereign Leisure Centre, cross the A2280 roundabout and locate Willingdon Drove. On the left hand side travelling down Willingdon Drove you will see Mountfield Road. This will continue on towards Shinewater Country Park, from here you will se signs for 'Route 21', which takes you all the way to Polegate. Along the route you will pass a number of great sights, including the Sovereign Harbour, just East of Eastbourne. It's one of the largest marinas in the UK, boasting five different ports and an abundance of shopping and retail outlets all overlooking the water.

Along the way are plentiful picnic spots, often with benches and shade. Not to be missed is the Victorian's engineering skills in the brick arch bridges, between Hellingly and Horam and most striking example at Heathfield Tunnel (open during the summer). There are lots of sights, sounds and smells to experience. In May, look for butterflies such as the orange-tip. You might even see bullfinch, lesser whitethroat, cuckoos or weasels.

Listen for the laughing call of the green woodpecker and a host of other birds. There's also wild garlic at several places between Hellingly and Horam with its pungent aroma. In early summer, orchids grow near path edges and under trees.

If you are considering this trail with young children, it's advised to start from Hampden Park, as the link from Eastbourne to the park is not that suitable for young riders. Get them in the park first and start your adventure cycling from there.
