Why Women Will Always Love The Wedding More Than The Marriage and Men Will Just Hate Both

Ah marriage; isn't it just the most delightful prospect, where a man and woman (or man and man...or woman and woman - no freedom till we're equal) join together under the eyes of God and all of your loved ones, to be legally and spiritually connected...for life. Yes, that's right, LIFE. Excluding the idea of divorce, marriage is a permanent contract where two people decide to share their lives until death do they part. When you think about it, why do people even choose to get married? After all, it costs a lot of money, it's complicated when it doesn't work out and with the society we now live in marriage doesn't have to come before reproducing.

So why do women always go on about their dream wedding and how amazing it would be to walk down the aisle in their perfect white dress blah, blah, blah. Don't get me wrong, I am one of those women! I dream about my wedding day at least once a week but my boyfriend hates the idea of getting married.

So why is it that a wedding is so much more exciting for a woman than a man? I've come to the conclusion that it's because the bride gets much more attention than the groom. Think about it, when have you ever gone to a wedding where someone has said 'I wonder what the groom will be wearing!' - it doesn't happen, right? Typically the groom will be wearing a tux, that's that.

But the bride gets to buy something different because dresses don't have to look the same and the excitement of that surprise makes the bride the most focal point in the ceremony. The guys are okay when it comes to the pre-wedding planning because they get to go on their stag do activities and have a great time getting drunk and showing up late to the wedding etc.

It appears to me that men get married because they know it's expected of them after a while. They then proceed to spend the rest of their lives resenting their decision to get married at all. Guys, listen - if you're gonna complain your whole lives then marriage just isn't for you. Do yourself a favour and just enjoy being with your partner. If you break up, you'll have far fewer complications to deal with!

But for those who think that marriage is for them, I say this - don't expect to get ANY attention at the wedding because it's OUR (as in females, not OUR as in both of us) day, not yours!

How to Select Best Garrett Metal Detector

If you are seeking to buy a metal detector you must know that the best metal detectors in the industry are the Garrett detectors. This information comes directly from the experts who know what is what in the world of metal detection equipment. If you are new to the world of using metal detectors it can be a little confusing to know which of the many devices available would best suit your needs. All of the metal detectors made by Garrett are of exceptional quality so you will need to focus on what your personal needs are to guide you in making the choice.

Here is how to choose the best from the current range of Garrett detectors in the market.

How often do you intend to use the device?

There are different specifications for Garrett detectors from those that are meant to be used by enthusiasts to those for professionals. The trick is knowing which of these categories you fall into. If you intend to take this activity up professionally or spend a lot of time doing it, you need high performance Garrett detectors such as the Garrett Infinitum. This device has a lot of inbuilt features that will help you accomplish what you need.

How far into the ground would you want to be able to detect?

Garrett detectors are able to provide you with devices that can detect gold deposits at varying depths of the ground. The question you must ask yourself is how serious metal detection activities are for you. For a simple enthusiast being able to see up to a foot is more than enough. The reason for this is because there are two types of Garret metal detectors. The first kind is high frequency VLF circuits which are extremely sensitive. These devices are better for shallow depths as they tend to be too sensitive to many minerals that are in the soil. They work effectively up to a foot under the ground. The second type is low frequency Pulse induction circuits. These are not as sensitive as they tend to focus on large gold deposits at greater depth. This can detect gold at greater depths than a foot.

Where will you be using the metal detectors?

This is a very important question to ask as it determines the kind of detectors you should consider buying. The best Garret detectors can be used in a wide range of terrains and surface types as they have multiple modes of detection for the user to deploy. If you intend to use the metal detector in one particular area such as a beach where there might be coins and other such items, you can seek a special purpose metal detector for that particular area.

Automated or manual ground balance feature?

Ground balance is a useful feature meant to ensure that the metal detector is not confused by the general mineralization of an area. Manual settings are easy to learn to use but for anyone not so inclined there are Garrett metal detectors with automatic ground balance feature.

Judy Buss is a proud owners of Goanna Gold Detectors since 2007 & are dedicated to providing locals & interstate enthusiasts with the best gold detectors , garrett metal detectors at the fairest pricing possible.

Multifunctional Tent

Tent is a common but useful item. It is made of canvas, can be moved at any time, and is convenient to carry. It is widely used in different ways. If you want to camp, hike, climb or travel, the necessary equipment is tent.

It is bracing to keep out wind, rain and sunlight, and provides temporary housing shed, can be divided into a few categories: advertising tents, base house tents, herringbone large tents, travel tents, relief tents and inflatable tents.

Tentage that can be used to exhibit and promote products outside are called advertising tent. We can see it in the street usually. Base house tents are used in army. They are strong and durable, adapt to all kinds of terrains. So they are also used as construction tents. Herringbone large tentage are mainly used in outdoor large activities. In fact, they are also equipped with other comprehensive facilities to beautify and perfect a variety of theme activities. It has a complete supporting system, provides specific and comprehensive solutions according to different nature and styles of activities.

Travel tentage can be classified into two types: 3 season and 4 season, exchangeable and automatic. The first type with good ventilation is lighter, used in spring, summer and autumn, can prevent wind and rain effectively, but is difficult to deal with too much snow. 4 seasons can be used in winter and High Mountain. They are stronger to prevent thicker snow. Exchangeable tentage can adjust 4 season tents to 3 season tents. Nowadays, automatics are popular because they are convenient, no limit and trendy. The folding is a major characteristic of automatic tent. It is easy and convenient to open and fold quickly. High quality tent has high elasticity and suppleness. Relief tentage can be used to provide places to live for people and store articles in disaster areas. Relatively speaking, inflatable tents are very convenient to build. They have incomparable advantage such as small volume, light weight, portable.

The storage of tentage is very important. Improper storage way can reduce the work life of a tent. After using, you should clean dust and attachment in time, wipe the water off on both sides of fabric, stay dry completely before folding. In order to extend the service life, you should keep it appropriately.

Different functions meet different requirements of people. I have used two tents to camp and hike. With the help of them, I have enjoyed good times. Now I am planning to travel in the holiday. For more outdoor equipments, plese visit http://www.luckyoutdoor.com.

A Unique Kite Surfing in Egypt

Egypt is often referred to as the land of the pyramids, the desert and land of wind and blue waters. Known as a brilliant windsurfing spot for over ten years, Egypt is now being rediscovered for the kite surfing. Consistent winds blow from a Northerly direction all along the Red Sea, keeping the hot temperatures down from beaches. Coves and bays make up most of the Red Sea coastline and turquoise flat water makes this country a mecca for kite surfing beginners and also advanced riders.

The best spots are Ras Sudr on the Sinai Peninsula, Safaga and El Gouna on the west coast. On the Sinai you have beautiful steady winds around 20 knots all summer long, and in winter it is less predictable. The Club Nathalie Simon in Ras Sudr for example is situated in a massive beautiful bay with side/cross-shore winds and shallow water for a kilometer or two off the coast - a huge lagoon makes this a kite surfing paradise The wind is really steady and the water is flat to choppy, and you ride for a kilometer and the water is only up to waist deep.

On the west coast the best kiting is in El Gouna and Safaga, where you have nice steady winds and a beautiful architectural set-up, and in Magawish Bay, where the Club Nathalie Simon Safaga teaches. You take the boat for about 45 minutes and arrive at kite surfing paradise - water so clear you can see the coral a couple of meters underneath and as turquoise like a postcard. Offshore wind (with safety boat in case you drift off) so even in 30 knots you have dead flat water and razing along the beach, you can safely jump one meter off the beach. The return to the club in the afternoon is an hour downwind followed by the boat, passing small islands, sandbanks and some coral reefs.

Getting to Egypt is simple from the UK as many charter airlines fly daily at competitive prices. The journey time is around 5 hours flying directly and kite surfing equipment can often go of free, but check with your airline first to avoid any shocks during check in.

If you are travelling alone you are best to book with a local directly who can advise you on the best spots to kite surf but also save you money by booking directly.

There are many apartments that are rented out as holiday lets and by booking with a fellow sports enthusiast you can ensure you only have a short walk before kite surfing in paradise.

What is Sealcoat and What is It For?

Do you have plans of putting asphalt on your drive way or perhaps your backyard? If this is the case, you may want to know about this little thing called sealcoat. Now, before anything else, asphalt is pretty uncomplicated as it is cheap, it is sturdy, and it is easy to come by but, all these do not mean it is impervious to the elements and when left on its own, it is bound to deteriorate over time. people who live in colder climates need to think about this and sealcoat is they want to make sure their newly-laid asphalt lasts for a good long time.

What is Sealcoat?

It may sound all fancy but sealcoat is actually just a liquid that is applied on asphalt areas to give them extra protection from oxidation. This liquid is also applied to asphalt so it can be protected from UV rays and just general wear and tear. People who live in colder climates must apply sealcoat of they want to protect their pristine asphalt driveways and parking areas from the ravages of the cold which results in winter cracking. Take note, if you do happen to live in an area where temperatures are known to drop below freezing points, you may need to apply this coating more frequently. It may sound tedious to have to do this but it is better than having to repair your asphalt driveway and a lot cheaper too.

Major benefits if sealcoating

Indeed, people who live in freezing climates need to coat their asphalt with these to protect from cold weather mishaps but that is not all as it has other benefits that you will surely want to take advantage of. You may not have known this but this liquid is petroleum based which means other petroleum products will be repelled by this coat and you need not worry about oil and gasoline stains on your driveway anymore.

Things to consider

Indeed, sealcoating is just about the best addition to your asphalt parking lots and driveways but there are some things you need to know about this. For one, it does not act as filler so any pockmarks and pits already there need to be filled before this is applied. However, once this has been applied and you maintain it regularly, there should no longer be any problems with pits and pockmarks so you do not have any filling to do in the future.

If interested

Should you like how this sounds and you do not yet have it applied to your driveway, best call on the professionals to do it for you. After all, if you are to get it done, you might as well call on people who you can trust to do the job correctly. When looking for people to apply the sealcoat for you, check online for company listings and try to ask for quotes from them so you know more or less how much you will pay. If your asphalt is in bad shape, you may find a company that will fix the flaws and apply the coat all in one go.

Get you asphalt to last longer! Give us a call or visit us at SealCoat for more information. We are more than happy to attend to your concerns.

The family thought that this is coming towards them as a friendly gesture. They become more exited and at once the lioness came in front of the elephant and attacked the elephant. Elephant is also a wild animal become uncontrollable for the Mahavat (elephant Handler). The family was frightened as the lioness was jumping towards the family members and was coming at the height of the elephant. Ideas for Great Outdoor Decor Gifts this Holiday Season

Many people become stuck in a rut during the holiday season and end up giving gift cards to everyone. Instead of the classic gift that says, 'I didn't know what to get you,' try giving a piece of outdoor decor. These pieces of modern outdoor furniture can be used to dress up gardens, porches, and anyone's backyard, making them great gifts anyone will appreciate.

Furniture

There are a plethora of patio furniture sets available in metal or wood. These tables are decorative enough for use on your front porch, in a garden, or on a back patio. By choosing options that are created from teak or cedar, the gift of a picnic table can be used year round. Treated wood can last through all weather giving your family a place to play cards or eat a grilled dinner even in the wet spring. Outdoor tables are available in rectangles, octagons, and circles and come with the option of attached benches.

A porch swing can be the perfect spot for a date night or catching up with a friend. You can curl up with a book, blanket and cup of hot cocoa to find comfort even in the coldest of nights. Along with cedar and teak, there are also eco-friendly options available, too. Though most are called 'porch swings,' you don't need a porch to have one. Frames are available to place these in your backyard, garden, or any other outdoor space you can imagine.

Accents

If your gift recipient isn't in need of outdoor furniture, there are still plenty of accent options such as pergolas and gazebos. These accents are generally crafted from wood, but can be stained or painted in almost any color. You can gift a small pergola that will fit over a garage or a freestanding one large enough to cover a patio. If you are looking for a little more shelter, then look for a pavilion or gazebo that has a shingled roof.

Kits

If that person you are thinking of is a DIYer, then an outdoor decor kit will make a great gift. You can find wooden gazebo, pergola, and arbor kits that give them the opportunity to put together their own accents. The kits come with the pieces pre-cut so they only have to worry about construction. Finishing touches such as staining are open ended when you get to decide by yourself. With easy directions, you don't have to be a professional to build these and some come together in as little as 30 minutes.

Outdoor decor is a gift that can be used year round depending on your climate. As long as the recipient has the space, there are options that can fit even the smallest of yards. There are styles for every taste as well including classic Adirondack, cozy cottage, and modern. Whether you are looking to help decorate a dock, deck, or garden, you are going to find plenty of great gift ideas that make this holiday season perfect.

Darjeeling Train - Chugging Away to Glory

The story of mountain railways of India is one of organizational brilliance. These railways have managed to dominate the terrain with aggression, initiative and control.

Darjeeling Delights: It's listed in the Guinness Railway Book as "among the world's most spectacular narrow gauge railways." Every year, troops of rail fans, stream-engine buffs and every other manner of train-o-maniacs find their way here to chase locomotives, walk along the right-of-way and expose reams of film in wild abandon. Indeed, Indian tourists are about the only groups that see the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) as primarily a form of transport to the hill station. To the rest of the world, the DHR, as it's called, is a kind of epitome of our collective technological experience. The first 7.5 minutes of the DHR from Siliguri to Sukhna give absolutely no indication of the delights ahead.

A short watering stop at Sukhna and the line enters a magical Neverland. The ascent begins almost immediately as the railway plunges into a thick deciduous forest, silent and enchanted at the 11.5 milestone, the line loops around the hillock and crosses over itself! The train climbs continuously, stops for a moment for water at the 12.5 milestone, then chugs on, veering to the south and looping over itself for a second time. Shortly thereafter, the main road to Darjeeling appears and the two now travel together. At the 16th milestone, the line loops over itself for a third time.

Those who have travelled much by rail will perceive in the DHR a certain maturity, a certain resolution. With the intention of rising 7,000 feet in 40 minutes, it can hardly choose the sof option, to snake through the valleys or bypass obstacles. Yet, not for a moment does the DHR come in direct conflict with the mountain. It seems to have an intrinsic comprehension of the character of the Himalayas. It does not take on the might of the mountain, it does not tunnel, burrow, slash or mutilate. There is no conflict, no violence and no aggression. It is almost as if it bends the mountain to its own purpose drawing strength from it and turning it to mutual benefit.

The line loops under itself once more at Batasia before squealing to a halt at Darjeeling station. As with all of the DHR, Darjeeling station is the focus of a great deal of human activity; vendors are present in profusion, doing brisk business.

To the dispassionate observer, the DHR is quite literally the arterial blood-line of the people, a profound reference point. It is in the movement of trains that time is measured. It is the omnipresent benevolence of the DHR that does not merely sustain the local but gives them life. To the uninitiated, the steam locomotives that operate on these lines are mere anachronisms, resembling at best dachshunds with rucksacks. To the engineering buff, however, the class B locomotives, or the Darjeeling tanks as they are affectionately called are beautiful machines, poetry in motion.

Using An LED For A Quick Walk To The Store

We only have one planet. As you've doubtless heard a hundred times in recent years, every time we turn on our vehicles, we are only adding to the environmental damage. Unless you happen to own one of those nifty hybrids or fully electric cars, your vehicle is adding to the problem. When it comes to heading to the nearby store to grab a couple of essentials after dark, you have two options: you can drive, or you can walk.

Walking to that nearby store does more for you than simply saving the planet. It counts as exercise, something you probably don't get enough of. But when it's already dark, that short walk can seem a lot more intimidating. When you have an LED hat to help light your way, you will soon find that the walk to the local store isn't as scary as you once thought.

If you're like most people, then you probably have a running hat laying around your home somewhere. If it's just a normal running hat, you will need to hunt through your home, find a flashlight, and probably find replacement batteries for it, all before you set out on your walk. At this rate, it would have been easier to just drive there. But you want the exercise, and it honestly isn't that far, so taking your car feels like a waste.

Why not invest in a running hat that serves more than one purpose? If you can get your hands on an LED hat that's designed for running, these late night walks to the 24-hour gas station at the end of the block won't seem like nearly this much trouble. All you have to do is grab your hat, slide it on, and power up the built-in LEDs to create a flashlight-free illuminated environment.

By using such an LED hat on your way to the store, you know that your hands will be free to carry your purchases back with you. Whether you're only heading in for a quick drink, or you plan to do a little grocery shopping while you're there, having your hands free of those bothersome flashlights can save you a lot of time.

When you get to the store, you can flip the lights on your running hat off with the touch of a button. Because your lights are actually built into the construction of your hat, you will be able to shop without shoving the flashlight into a pocket. We all know how suspicious a full pocket looks while you're in the store.

Avoid the hard glares from the shop keeper, and forget needing to remember to pick your flashlight up again after you make your purchase. With a trustworthy LED hat on your head, you can even light your way home when both hands are buried down with your purchases. You'll never need to worry about carrying a flashlight again when you get a running hat with built in lights.

John is an outdoor type of person, He is an explorer by nature. The running hat helps him to light up his way at night.

Compass - Your Outdoor Direction

As one of the four great inventions of china, compass not only has possessed great promoting function for the politics, economy and the development of culture in ancient china. After being spread to the west by various ways, it has also had a great effect on the history of world civilization. In modern society, compass plays an important role in cross-country orienteering.

Compass always reminds me of my cross-country orienteering teammates and the days we have spent together. The most memorable day must be the day of my first orienteering on a mountain. It rained heavily the day before the game. Therefore, the mountain roads were muddy and slippery. It was the day shortly after I had joined in the team. I could not use the compass and the map location identification was quite poor. In the single player race, I ran to find the order point mere with my poor location identification. Back and forth as I ran and found the wrong points again and again, still could not find the thirteenth point out. I knew that I must have taken the wrong information. My shoes were wet and tore, so did my trousers and clothes. Finally, I had to give it up.

When the race was over, not surprisingly, I was the final one. And I was the only one who had not finished the game. It made me feel frustrated. My teammate asked me what had cost me so much time. When the reason was being told, he almost screamed at me:"why not used the compass to find whether your direction is right or not"? No why, I just didn't know how to use it. This race had afforded me a useful lesson and after that, I practiced used compass in every orienteering that I took part in. If you are an orienteering enthusiast, the compass will be an essential teammate.

Before using the compass, you should match the map with your actual location. It can help you to detect your location and your destination. What you need to do is finding out one or two symbolic targets to help you realize the correct position. Besides, the apparatus should not be located near the magnetic material so as to avoid the loss of magnetism. For keeping the appearance of the compass clean, please don't wipe it with your hand or dirty cloth.

It is widely used not merely in orienteering, also in other outdoor sports items like hiking and mountain climbing. You can visit http://www.luckyoutdoor.com/camping-equipment.html for more hiking and camping equipments.

What to Look for When Choosing an Ultralight Summer Sleeping Bag?

Summer is a great time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Backpacking during the summer months usually means that you don't have to carry a heavy load of gear on your back, since you don't need a lot of cold weather gear. When it comes to finding a summer sleeping bag, there are a few important factors to weigh. This is especially true if you are a minimalist or ultralight backpacker.

The first thing you need to keep in mind is the temperature rating of the sleeping bag. Sleeping bags are rated to a certain temperature, which is the average 'comfort' temperature between a minimum and maximum range. Most summer backpacking trips will be fine with a rating of 40 degrees of above, and most summer sleeping bags fall in the 40-55 range. This obviously depends on where yo will be backpacking, so if the nights get colder than 40-55 degrees, pack a warmer bag.

The temperature rating will determine the amount of insulation inside the sleeping bag. This will affect the total weight, since more insulation will mean a heavier sleeping bag. Weight is an important consideration, especially if you are trying to achieve ultralight backpacking status (less than 10 pounds). Finding a sleeping bag that is close to 1 pound is ideal for that scenario.

The type of insulation is also an important consideration. Down sleeping bags will allow you to get down in the 1-2 pound range at this temperature rating, and some synthetic insulation sleeping bags will get close as well. The fill power of the down will give you an idea of its overall warmth to weight ratio, with a higher number giving you a higher ratio. Remember that down loses it's insulative properties when it gets wet, so if you plan on backpacking in a wet climate, either make sure you have waterproof protection or go with a synthetic sleeping bag (they retain their insulative properties when wet).

Cost is also an important consideration. Down bags will usually cost more than their synthetic counterparts, and this is especially true with the high fill power down sleeping bags (600-850).

Hopefully this guide will help you get started in finding a perfect summer lightweight sleeping bag to fit your needs. Happy trails!

Guide to Cuckoo Adventure Cycling Trail

The name Cuckoo dates back to when the first cuckoo of the year was released from a cage every spring at Heathfield Fair. The trail offers safety from cars and traffic and is suitable for cycling and walking.

The adventure cycling begins at Eastbourne seafront next to the Sovereign Leisure Centre and finishes at Heathfield, covering a distance of 16 miles. The cycling difficulty is easy, as all paths are flat, gravel and wide, making it easy for other bikes to pass. You will find a gentle climb from Polegate to Heathfield, only around 120 meters, but remember what goes up must come down, so you can relax on the way back down.

The Trail largely follows the route of a disused railway line, the Cuckoo Line, which opened in 1880 and ran between Eridge and Polegate railway stations, creating a direct route between Eastbourne and London. It obtained its name from the tradition that the first cuckoo in spring was heard at the Heathfield Fair. The line closed in 1968 under the programme of closures put forward by Forest Row resident and British Transport Commission Chairman Richard Beeching.

Starting at Eastbourne seafront near the Sovereign Leisure Centre, cross the A2280 roundabout and locate Willingdon Drove. On the left hand side travelling down Willingdon Drove you will see Mountfield Road. This will continue on towards Shinewater Country Park, from here you will se signs for 'Route 21', which takes you all the way to Polegate. Along the route you will pass a number of great sights, including the Sovereign Harbour, just East of Eastbourne. It's one of the largest marinas in the UK, boasting five different ports and an abundance of shopping and retail outlets all overlooking the water.

Along the way are plentiful picnic spots, often with benches and shade. Not to be missed is the Victorian's engineering skills in the brick arch bridges, between Hellingly and Horam and most striking example at Heathfield Tunnel (open during the summer). There are lots of sights, sounds and smells to experience. In May, look for butterflies such as the orange-tip. You might even see bullfinch, lesser whitethroat, cuckoos or weasels.

Listen for the laughing call of the green woodpecker and a host of other birds. There's also wild garlic at several places between Hellingly and Horam with its pungent aroma. In early summer, orchids grow near path edges and under trees.

If you are considering this trail with young children, it's advised to start from Hampden Park, as the link from Eastbourne to the park is not that suitable for young riders. Get them in the park first and start your adventure cycling from there.

Religious Harmony - Palayam Juma Masjid

Palayam Juma Masjid or Friday Mosque is the main mosque in the city of Trivandrum in Kerala. Located by a busy highway in the heart of the city the white marble clad rectangular structure has architectural details that are in the Indo-Saracenic style popular in north India. The building is dominated by two soaring minarets on either side of the entrance and a perfect dome in its mid section. Interestingly St. Joseph's Cathedral and Ganapathy temple are found in its vicinity making the area representative of the main religions in Kerala.

The mosque's history dates back to 1813 when a small facility with an open space for Id prayers was constructed to cater to the needs of the Muslims in the British Indian Second Regiment who were stationed in Palayam. It was linked to the military from then on as it was the Muslim officers and men serving in subsequent regiments stationed in the town who bought land, appointed a Qazi, improved the premises and made arrangements for the upkeep of the building. In fact Palayam means a military encampment as the city has been associated with the military for many years.

The present day majestic structure dates to the 1960s when a group of Muslim philanthropists and civic minded people joined together to renovate and update the building which was inaugurated in 1967 by the then President of India Zakir Hussain. The mosque features all the essential components of a congregational mosque and the interior and exterior decoration of this elegant yet simple structure has been kept to a minimum. The cool and serene ambience within is conducive to prayer and contemplation. Palayam Juma Masjid can now accommodate 2000 devotees for Friday prayers among who are a great number of women. Women have been permitted to pray at this mosque for several years. An illustrious scholar who served for two decades as the first Imam of the mosque after its renovation was instrumental in uplifting its status from a small mosque to its present position. Among those buried in the grounds of the mosque is Kamala Das a famous poet and author of India who converted to Islam.

High Tech Outdoor Camping Equipment - Are They Worth it?

Outdoor camping has always been an activity associated with Mother Nature. The idea is to shut down city life for a certain period of time and just go out on a camping site to commune with the environment. For most campers, this is an opportunity to temporarily strip down their lives into its bare essentials - having nothing but food, clothing, and God's creation all around them.

However, with the amazing advances in technology nowadays, there are also newly developed high tech camping equipment available. Using them on your next outdoor camping trip would be a perfect marriage of Nature and Technology. But the question is, are these high tech camping gear worth using or do they just add to the bulk of your baggage?

Solar Charged Lanterns. While many nature "purists" would rather use a real lantern with a real flame in any outdoor situation, there are some who now prefer a solar charged lantern. Sure it doesn't even come close to the feel of a genuine lantern (which gives a sort of tribal atmosphere), but the effect and function is the same. A typical solar charged lantern can emit 80 lumens light for a space of 15 square meters. This is more than enough to lighten an entire medium sized camp.

Solar Panel Chargers. Now that the world is filled with mobile gadgets like iPhones, tablet PCs, Mac devices, and Samsung notebooks, many campers find it impossible to survive an outdoor camping trip without access to their gadgets. For these types of campers (which comprises majority of people), a solar panel charger would be most suitable. High end solar panel chargers can usually charge laptops or notebooks below 40 watts. Smart phones, GPS devices and other handheld gadgets can also be charged with solar panel equipment.

Underwear With Insect Protection Technology. Technology, in the general sense of the word, is not limited to devices which use electronics in order to work. It can also be applied to clothing, much specifically underwear clothing. There are underwear brands today that use "insect shield" technology to ward off insects from the intimate area, as well as regulate different levels of surface temperature. These kinds of under clothing can be extremely useful in outdoor camping areas where there might be a danger of being exposed to diseases caused by insect bites.

High tech camping gear is not entirely troublesome and bulky all the time. In the situations mentioned above, they can be very useful and therefore should be added to the checklist of an active camper.

Penitentes Phenomena

Numerous attractions in South-American countries are associated with Andes ranges. Besides stunning landscapes of high mountain peaks, one can enjoy backpacking tours to underground caves, icy areas and glaciers, explore the beauty of tropical and equatorial nature, both on low and alpine altitudes, etc.

To give a scientific definition, Penitentes is thin and high ice blades directed towards the sun, which are formed on the snow-covered areas in mountains. The main factor is dry air that prevents ice from melting. In Andes Penitentes blades are no surprise on snow peaks and hills, especially on the altitudes more than 4 km above sea level. The widest distribution of this natural wonder is observed in Argentina and Chile.

Charles Darwin, a glorious explorer of South America, was the first to reveal Penitentes phenomena that is recorded in 1839. On March 22nd 1835 he led an expedition through the snowy plains of Pikuenes pass on the way from Santiago de Chile to the Argentine city of Mendoza. In these places, the expedition encountered with a huge array of snow sculptures in the shape of blades. In contrast to commonly recognized scientific explanation of such a phenomena, locals at the time believed that Penitentes appeared because of strong winds.

It is already confirmed by scholars that these snow blades are formed when the sun rays convert snow into steam, without melting period. This process is called sublimation. Initially, on the smooth snow appear irregulations of the surface, on which the sunlight concentrates and thus further accelerates the emergence of Penitentes. In practice, this theory was introduced by Argentine geologist Luciano Catalano, long after expeditions of Charles Darwin and his team.

In the scientific world, Penitentes alerts a lot of attention. This phenomena is studied in details in the course of global warming investigations, conducted by multiple scientific groups and institutions around the world. The scientific interest in the Andes is combined with recreational activities. Ski resort "Penitentes", offers tourists excellent conditions for recreation and a variety of winter sports. Climbers, conquering the local peaks, shoot videos and take pictures on the background of Penitentes. After all, a fantastic Penitentes, is among the 10 most spectacular natural wonders of the world.

Tips For Camping Gear Shopping and Selection

For outdoor camping lovers, shopping for camping gear is truly a big deal. After all, it's not just about getting the right equipment. It's all about getting the most up-to-date items available at the right prices. Campers compare notes all the time, and there is some sort of "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality that plays a big role here. Therefore, if you are using the most obsolete camping gear (the ones your grandparents used), it's not as enjoyable as using a brand new backpack that just came out in the market last month.

Contrary to what many people are thinking, shopping for camping bags, tents and footwear is not just about looking for durability and quality. It's also about bragging rights. Outdoor enthusiasts take pride in their equipment, and they spend hundreds of dollars on their equipment purchases so that they can talk about it with their friends. This is a good thing, because by being truly enthusiastic about camping products, the industry thrives and the people in the outdoor activity market constantly have something to look forward to.

However, just because a product is popular doesn't mean that you should be blinded into purchasing it right away. After you've zeroed in on a really good looking product with lots of social proof that's new to the market, look at its features and specs. Then ask yourself, is this product able to meet my standards of quality? Will it be sufficient for my next camping trip and will it be able to get the job done?

To help you with your purchasing decisions, try to make a list of what you will need on your next outdoor trip. Will you be needing a large tent, or just for three people? Will you need a new backpack, or will your old one be enough to get the job done? These are just some of the questions that you should be asking.

The next step is to go out there in the marketplace (be it in a physical shopping store, or in an online shopping gateway). Try to compare prices of different brands that offer the same level of quality. Your goal here is buy quality at the most affordable price possible.

Lastly, know the difference between the things you need versus the things you want. Of course, it's not bad to have a couple or so things in your baggage that you want. However, too many unneeded baggage will bulk up your travel and you won't be able to move around as much as you want to. In outdoor trips, the heavier the luggage, the heavier the liability, so make sure you always travel as light as possible. Before buying a new piece of camping gear to bring on your trip, decide whether it is just a mere luxury, or an indispensible piece of equipment that you can't survive without.
